Our Story

MEET MARIA AND GREG

Maria was 19 years old when she tasted pesto for the first time. She thought it to be the elixir of the gods and vowed to herself that when older, would learn how to perfect the recipe. Many years later, she did! As her family grew, she knew that staying home and providing for them was what she wanted to do. Her husband Greg designed the logo, their pet Chihuahua, Buddha, became the inspiration for the name, and voila, the rest is history!

Buddhapesto is a family-owned and run business. For over 18 years we have been serving the Hudson Valley and beyond. Markets & Stores

Where to find us!

Find us at your local farmers market or grocery store. We primarily supply stores within the Ulster and Albany County area, with more stores on the way. Check our Market & Stores page to find out where Buddhapesto is available. If you are having trouble getting to the stores in time (as the pesto tends to sell out quickly), feel free to order online!

"As we always say, It's all in the tasting so go ahead, and enlighten your taste buds”.
You will understand why our pesto is so

well received!"
